We are convinced that what we offer as a rainforest experience is unique all over the world. We have been refining our skills in order to provide these ultimate experiences, deep in the primary forest of Ecuador, in its Amazon Jungle, for over 22 years. Our staff will become your family. And we will bring out the sensuous from our forest from our food from everything around you until you feel like you've never felt before. It is not enough to be extremely knowledgeable about the tropical biosphere to guide with us. La Selva's culture requires the ability to demonstrate a genuine passion for the natural world and the need to save it. Our guides are not boring lecturers on these topics, they merely create awareness. They also have the ability, as native trackers, to find all animals within your grasp, make you laugh, marvel and wonder.

La Selva is about sixty miles downriver from Coca, which has a wild west atmosphere (which we whisk you through) and serves as the main base for the defiantly destructive oil industry which La Selva, after many pitched battles to limit their exploration, has managed to ward off from our nature preserve. Most Recently La Selva has won the 2007 Ecotourism Award, in a worldwide competition of the "Ecoclub", located in Athens, Greece.

Other awards including the "Ecotourism Award" have been received at the World Congress of Tourism and Environment, held in Belize.
